Greetings Missouri Patriots!
I hope you are well and progressing in your efforts to become an officer in your county’s Republican Party by becoming a Precinct Committee man or woman.
Up to now, our work has been to get appointed to vacancies in your local county Republican Party. I know many of you have been successful in at least finding out when and where your committee meetings are held and some have been appointed to open seats.
What you may NOT know is that in Missouri all of these seats have to be re-elected every two years in the August Primary before the Nov General Election. More importantly, the filing period to be on the ballot in August opens THIS MONTH on Tuesday, February 22 and runs for four weeks. You should call your county election office immediately and find out the exact requirements for filing in your county so you can be ready to go on the FIRST filing day. In most counties, this will insure that you will be first on the August ballot and studies have shown that being the first name on the ballot may increase your vote total by as much as 5%. In some counties, you just need to be a resident in your precinct for one year. In others, you may need to ask 10 neighbors to sign a nomination form obtained from your election office (County Clerk). You want to know what your county requires BEFORE you go in to file.
If your precinct position was filled last cycle, do NOT be deterred, go ahead and file for election early on Feb. 22. This will strike fear into the hearts of RINO committees everywhere. Here’s what to do NOW:
1. Call your county election office or county clerk and say, “Can you tell me exactly what I need to do to file for the position of Precinct Committeeman/women for my precinct/ward in the August 2022 Primary?”
2. Takes notes
3. Follow directions explicitly
Use the above list from the Missouri Manual to determine if your position was open during the last 2-year cycle.
1. Plan/Prepare to be the first person to file EARLY on opening day even if you have to take a day off work to be there.
2. In many of these precincts you may be the only person to file and will be assured of election without even campaigning.
3. If more than one person files for election in your precinct, we will need to talk personally about how to proceed to win the seat in the August Primary. Email me and the real coaching will begin! (Most of these people who have served for several years have never had to campaign in the past and don’t know how to do so successfully.)
Remember, you are trying to get in a position to vote for AFA leadership in the Missouri Republican Party and dismiss the corrupt establishment RINOs who have been more interested in their own power than doing what’s best for America and Missouri.
As mentioned by John Putnam in the last conference call. The MO GOP BlueBook which lists all GOP people down to the County level. Quite a bit of general info at the beginning.
